Scent Information

I have so many fragrances, that it makes sense to give you an overview of what each 'smells' like. Until scratch n sniff internet is developed, I'll strive to explain the nuances and components of each fragrance. Want more info? Drop me an email or use the contact form.

Not every product comes in every fragrance. Some scents are reserved (because of cost) for perfume. We do add/drop fragrances often, depending on market conditions. Don't see a favorite? Let us know. We may still have a moderate amount available but have removed it from the site to sell through locally.

A-C

Almond Royale: A new scent but already a top seller! Almond, for sure, but warmed with a kiss of sweetness. Almost an amaretto fragrance. Definitely royale.

Amber: the classic perfume fragrance, rich and deep.

Bamboo: a luscious green scent with hints of citrus, lilac, rose, clove, and musk.

Basil Sage Mint: such an incredible smell, party herbal, part spa. All joy. They say there's no citrus in this scent but I always seem to smell it. One of my most popular fragrances for home scenting.

Bergamot: An orange citrus. Not consumed as juice, the plant is grown for its aromatic properties. A bit different than more known citrus scents, but every bit as wonderful. Right now, just available in home fragrance.

Blackberry Sage: Ripe and rich blackberry fragrance mingled with sage. A wonderful fragrance that you are sure to love.

Black Cherry: a strong cherry fragrance. This is NOT a juvenile scent, but an inviting fruity fragrance.

Bleu: see 'Man' below. A limited edition fragrance.

Blueberry: Fruity and fantastic. Just the ultimate blueberry scent!

Bluebonnet: Bluebonnet flowers are a harbinger for a Texas spring. Glorious deep blue colors spread over the sides of roadways, making a dazzling display. Unfortunately, the real flowers do not have a very nice scent. I call this floral blend 'bluebonnet' as this is what this flower SHOULD smell like, dagnabit. Light fresh floral. One of my top favorites for personal use. Now available to you.

Bloom: A true 'field of flowers' scent. An intoxicating mingle of lily, rose, lilac, lavender, ylang ylang and bergamot. Really amazing. if you are a flower lover, this is a must have.

Cherry Almond: a blending of dark cherries and almond.

Cherry Blossom: delicate light fragrance. While it works great in candles, I actually prefer it in soap, lotions and other body products. A spring floral.

Cinnilla: Creamy vanilla enhanced by the wonderful spices of fall--cinnamon and clove. Seasonal scent.

Clouds: Fresh and ethereal. Like sunwarmed cotton or fresh laundry. All we know is that it is clean, fresh and amazing. You'll love it.

Cranberry: so true to the name! This is one scent that, when burning, makes your mouth water! Perfect for the holidays (in fact, it is generally in stock ONLY during the fall season), it is fruity, delicious and wonderful.

Creamy Vanilla: this one is much sweeter than the French Vanilla that you may remember. Smells like buttercream frosting.

Creme Brulee: a carmelized vanilla. Like the famous dessert. Just not as fattening.

Crisp Apple: a fresh, crisp apple fragrance. More macintosh than granny smith. Plain fabulous apple with no bakery notes. We also refer to this fragrance simply as 'Apple' in many products.

D - I

Dream: a blend of lavender and vanilla. But if you aren't a fan of lavender, don't push this scent aside. While I know how popular lavender is, it has never been a personal favorite. Dream, however, is. Something very special happens in this blend. And I know you will love it. Trust me.

Eucalyptus: while this is a very intense fragrance, many folks prefer it for when they feel a bit under the weather. Generally, you'll find this in our Eucalyptus-Mint blend, but we have also done it solo.

Eucalyptus-Mint: a blending of eucalyptus and spearmint. Softer than eucalyptus (by itself) and even more refreshing!

Fleur: a delicious meld of plumeria, bird of paradise and ylang ylang. This intoxicating fragrance that is definitely floral but sophisticated at the very same time, is the first blend I ever went 'oh wow' about. After nearly 9 years, it is still a top seller in home fragrance. Formerly named Paradise Flowers, I know you'll love it.

Frankincense & Myrrh: that classic church incense fragrance, but somehow, also clean and fresh.

Fresh: smells like fresh sheets dried on a sundrenched day. (formerly called Sunshine).

Frostbite: a new name for our Real Mint fragrance.

Gardenia: a classic white floral favorite.

Green Tea: a light herbal scent, very reminiscent of a fresh pot of green tea.

Honeysuckle: the delicate flower, light and sweet.

J - L

Jasmine: a soft, sweet floral. Although fantastic in candles, it really rocks in soap and perfume.

Java Junkie: pure, rich coffee. No sugar. No cream. Just java for those who like it strong.

Lavender: the classic scent of relaxation. This is an apothecary style fragrance, very true to the essential oil by the same name.

Leather: rich, tanned cowhide. A perfect scent for that man in your life, or for anyone who lives for sagebrush and country life.

Lemongrass: the classic herbal scent, citrus yet green. If you're thinking ‘spa', then Lemongrass should be at the top of your list. Almost universally loved, this is a good scent when picking out a fragrance for someone else.

Lemon Sugar: just lemon with a touch of sweetness. Think tart lemonade. Absolutely fabulous in a candle, ok, absolutely fabulous everywhere!

Lilac: the sweetest spring floral of them all!

Love Charm: One of our most popular fragrances in EVERY category! A blending of Cherry blossom, peach and red apple. Absolutely intoxicating.

M - N

Macaroon: coconut plus cream with just a hint of  baked piecrust. Utterly amazing in both home fragrance and body products.

Magnolia: The classic southern white floral. But this scent is probably a bit more sophisticated than you remember.

Man: my own blending. Think salt air, leather and vanilla. You'll be close. I was inspired by a photo of a gorgeous hunky male model standing on a pristine white sugar sand beach. Sometimes I call this scent 'Bleu'.

Mandarin Spice: take mandarin orange and combine with cinnamon (and a touch of clove) and you have Mandarin Spice. A really new twist on the traditional spicy fall scents.

Melonade: fresh melon and lemon. You might think it is an odd combination, but trust me. It smells like summer without being overwhelming. Really nice and fresh.

Merlot: Very fruity and complex. Just like the finest merlots.

Milk & Honey: A really nice, buttery, honey sweet, milky fragrance. I'm not one to love this type of scent but I really cannot stop smelling it! You will love it.

Mocha: Chocolate plus coffee=bliss. Smells like your favorite coffee spot. Utterly delicious!

Mystic: direct from our perfume line, this fragrance is a combination of wood, musk and soft floral. It is hard to describe (which is why I call it Mystic...) but harder, still, to resist.

Musk: This is a 'remember when' type of scent. Cause it reminds me vividly of a popular 'white musk' scent when I was in high school. Come on, you know the one. This is light and yet musky. A most incredible fragrance.

North Woods: spruce pine. VERY pine.

O - P

Oakmoss: a wonderfully masculine fragrance. Usually produced in soap but you may find candles from time to time! This blend has patchouli and cedarwood, mingled with a light kiss of jasmine and a definite mossy aroma.

Ocean: a complex ocean scent. You can smell the sea, but you can also discern the florals on the shore nearby.

Ocean Breeze: absolutely an 'air' scent. Crisp and invigorating.

Orchard: juicy fruity fragrance mingled with the freshest green notes. I smell peach, nectarine and berry scents in this new Spring 2010 introduction. Luscious!

Patchouli: that classic 60's incense fragrance. Earthy, woody and mysterious.

Peach: smells exactly like a juicy, ripe peach. Really.

Pecan Praline: Rich and delicious, without a single calorie! Buttery sweet with the unmistakable fragrance of pecan.

Pear Delight: a wonderful pear fragrance with just a hint of warm brandy and sweetness. A limited edition fragrance at this time. Usually poured in fall.

Pineapple: I finally found a pineapple scent that doesn't smell like weird chemicals! So many of them do. But this one, to my nose, smells like the ripest, sweetest pineapple you've ever smelled.

Pink Grapefruit: this one will blow you away! Absolutely grapefruit. Amazingly so.

Plumeria: an incredible tropical floral. This plumeria is sweeter than many with a soft powdery finish. It took more than 3 years to locate this particular scent. Trust me, the work was worth it.

Pomegranate: fruity and fresh. One of the most popular scents offered in home fragrance.

Pomegranate Peach: two great fragrances that are even better together. The sum is definitely greater than the parts!

Posh: formerly called 'White Tea'. We think Posh describes this delicious sweet white floral best. It is elegant and even a touch ethereal. With hints of wood and green notes.

Pumpkin Spice: warm pumpkin mixed with spice. A great holiday scent.

Q - S

Raindrops: our fabulous 'water' smell. There is a slight 'herbal' cast to this fragrance, but to me, it smells like a rainshower and the wonderfully clean scent that fills the air. A bar of Raindrops soap is always in my shower. You'll love it.

Rainforest: A mix of musk, rose, woods and a touch of clean linen. A bit sweeter scent than Raindrops, but very memorable.

Rose Petals: tea rose at its finest.

Sandalwood: a classic incense fragrance. Subtle and mysterious.

Spearmint: refreshing minty/herbal and all around fun scent. Someone said it smells like spearmint gum. And it does. It really does.

Spice: one of my most popular scents, particularly in the colder months. A luscious mixture of cinnamon and clove.

Spiced Apple: a mingle of spices (cinnamon and clove) and red apple. A bit spicier than 'common' cinnamon apple fragrances but one that you are sure to love.

Suede: a limited edition fragrance. This blending of leather and vanilla is much softer than my regular Leather fragrance. Which is why I call it Suede!

Summer Garden: smells like a garden in summer. You'll swear that you can pick out the different flowers, fresh cut grass and the fertile earth. Formerly named 'Garden'.

Sunflower: green florals combine with rose, orange flower and jasmine. Evokes the feeling of standing in a field of vivid sunflowers on a bright day without a cloud in the sky.

T - Z

Tuscany: a blend that is stuffed full of green herbal notes such as rosemary, thyme and many more. Like stepping into an Italian kitchen.

Valencia: a combination of bitter orange and floral notes. Not harsh as you might think. Definitely orange but more mature...sophisticated. Not a sweet scent...no 'candy' like notes common in some orange fragrances. Very wonderful in bath products and energizing in home fragrance.

Vanilla Lime: I was tempted to do a 'da lime in the...' type of announcement here, but really this is not a joking matter. This is dead seriously one of the best citrus blends I've ever smelled. Lime, definitely lime, but the addition of vanilla transports this scent into a higher realm. You will love it. I do.

Waterlily: Green notes mixed with light florals. A sweet scent, but not cloying or annoying. It is fast becoming a favorite around here. New Fall 2010.

Welcome Home: warm and cozy. Very spicy. A definite bakery scent. Reminds me of stepping into grandma's kitchen after a day of baking. Luscious.

Wild Honey: Smells like honey. But it is a soft, sophisticated scent, not sticky sweet. A touch of bakery notes, too.

Yule: my holiday scent. Citrus mingled with berries with just a hint of spice and pine. This is a seasonal scent and comes out to dazzle you in the fall of every year until quantities sell out.

Yuzu: sparkling citrus fruit of Japan. Not the prettiest fruit on the block, but that's okay. Smells to our nose like a mingle of grapefruit and bitter orange. Amazingly wonderful. You'll be a fan after the first sniff.
